| We're very excited to announce the 2012 Workshop and Photography Tour schedule. These workshops and tours are designed for beginners to pros wishing to learn new ways of seeing, exploring techniques used on location, and for photographers looking for exciting new subjects to photograph. Our goal is to help you learn from a veteran professional landscape photographer in a relaxed, informal and enjoyable environment without getting bogged down in the technical side of photography. One Day Winter Photography Workshops January 14, 28 and Febrauary 11 Join us in the Beautiful Heather Meadows Recreation Area adjacent to the Mount Baker Ski Area for a full day of learning how to photograph safely and comfortably in a winter environment. Among the many topics covered, you'll learn new photographic techniques, and how to get around in safety in the frontcountry and backcountry. For full details and registration click here to download Spring in the Columbia River Gorge Oregon Workshop Date: May 4-7, 2012 Join us during the height of spring in the Columbia River Gorge, one of the scenic jewels of the Northwest. We'll be photographing the best of the Gorge, fantastic waterfalls, historic roadways, lush green forests, and meadows thick with wildflowers. Along the way you'll learn new techniques to improve your photography and bring home portfolio class images. Here we will work among 5000 year old Neolithic ruins, enigmatic stone circles, windswept seascapes, colonies of seabirds, and quaint fishing villages and towns. Among the many subjects Skye has to offer are the Highlands of the Cuillin Range and Trotternish Peninsula, rugged beaches and seacliffs, the picturesque seaside town of Portree, and the nearby Eilean Donan Castle. From dramatic waterfalls and mountain scenery to active volcanos and colorful villages, this small island country is a dream for any serious photographer. Situated at sub-arctic latitudes just east of Greenland Iceland harbors the largest glaciers and icefields of Europe, and is also home to huge colonies of seabirds. On this tour we will be visiting the the best sites along the Southern Coast, Gulfoss, Geysir, Seljalandfoss, Vik, and Skaftafell National Park to name a few.
